Hannah St. Cyr, a first-grade student at Park School has died in a tragic car accident

The Kadimah Scholars and Park School communities are reeling from the devastating loss of one of their youngest and brightest lights. Hannah St. Cyr, a beloved first-grade student at Park School in Buffalo, tragically passed away in a car accident, leaving behind a heartbroken family, school, and community.

Hannah was known for her radiant spirit, infectious joy, and warm heart. A friend to many and a cherished presence in her classroom, she brought smiles and kindness to everyone she encountered. Teachers, classmates, and families remember her as a vibrant child full of life and curiosity—someone who made an unforgettable impression in just her few short years.

Her mother, Ashley St. Cyr, is a deeply involved member of the Park School and Kadimah Scholars communities. A dedicated advocate for Jewish education and values, Ashley serves on the board of Kadimah Scholars and has given selflessly of her time and energy to support others. The loss of Hannah is felt not only as a personal tragedy for the St. Cyr family but as a communal sorrow for all who knew and loved them.

The Jewish community, guided by a tradition of coming together in times of grief, is surrounding the St. Cyr family—Ashley, her husband Doug, and their loved ones—with love, prayer, and support. In the words shared by Kadimah Scholars, “May Hannah’s neshama have an aliyah, and may her memory forever be a blessing.”

A Funeral Service for Hannah will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Temple Beth Tzedek, 1641 N. Forest Rd., Williamsville, NY 14221. Those unable to attend in person may join via the live stream at btzbuffalo.org.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Hannah’s name to The Park School of Buffalo Scholarship Fund, to honor her legacy and continue supporting the education of others in her memory.
